How to Make Your Workplace COVID-19 Ready
The State Government has announced a planned staged approach to lifting restrictions to guide our economy back into operation. The changes are gradual and will be monitored at each stage to ensure the safeguards are working to reduce the risk of COVID-19 outbreaks and to enable health authorities to respond if needed.
Stage one began on Monday 18th May where gatherings of people were increased from 2 to 10 people. This means that for some businesses, that haven’t been able to open, they can look to reopen and start to serve their customers again or be able to increase what they can provide to their customers. Stage 2 restrictions, subject to Public Health advice, are currently scheduled to begin on 15 June 2020.
If you are looking to reopen your business or expand what you have been offering to date, then you will need to ensure that your workplace is COVID ready. This means that you need to have plans in place to continue to adhere to the level of restrictions for each phase of the road back to recovery.
To help businesses get ready the State Government has launched a COVID-19 Safe Workplaces Framework as a practical support for businesses and workplaces, while continuing to protect Tasmanian’s health and safety. As part of this they have developed minimum standards to follow, a set of guidelines and a check list. To view all of these documents follow the below link:
